Hello, all! San here. Recently, I had the chance to visit a very cute cafe called Colette & Lola in Jakarta, Indonesia. It’s a small café located in the hip Senopati street area. It was located on the ground floor of a two-storey building. With blue-painted wood fittings and vinyl sticker lettering on wide windows, it was already an eye-catching spot that you shouldn’t miss.
Colette & Lola is a bakery that sells pretty desserts at reasonable prices. They make cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and big macarons. For beverages, they sell mostly chocolate or coffee beverages, with variations. They also sell a wide variety of iced teas that you should try, especially under the constant heat that fills Jakarta.
The interior itself oozes happiness and optimism. The ceiling is covered in blue geometric wallpaper. At the left side, vintage chairs and wooden tables that look like stools provide dining space. The wide glass windows let visitors see the other side of the building, while giving privacy to the customers of the café by covering the windows with lettering stickers.
At the right side, the dining area is made of small round tables with stools shaped like clouds. Lining the walls is a custom-made sofa shaped like clouds, making the visitors feel as if they’re enjoying pastries while in the clouds. The walls were blue-painted wooden panels with wall lamps, where chalkboards filled with promotional and motivational texts are hung.
If you are in Jakarta and have time to spare, be sure to visit Colette & Lola for the experience and interior inspiration 🙂
