Hello all!
I had the chance to catch a pretty exhibition in Madrid yesterday, which was a garden of roses. In Parque del Oeste (nearest metro: Argüelles), during May, a rose exhibition and competition is celebrated. To be precise, it was held in La Rosaleda, a wide area in Parque del Oeste.
As I said, La Rosaleda is a wide park where roses are exhibited and put in competition. There were many different hybrids of roses, notable especially from its colors. Under the strong sunlight that showers Madrid almost all year long, the roses seemed to glow their colors and provided a very pretty scenery, with many photo opportunities.
If you’re in Madrid, or you’re travelling to Madrid in May, be sure to visit this park. Although it’s not as grand as Keukenhof in Holland or not as vast as Taman Bunga Cipanas in Indonesia, it is still worth a visit. I, personally, love the sight of flowers blooming under the bright sunlight, so the visit to La Rosaleda was worth it 🙂
It was a very hot day and we were quite hungry after spending time under the strong sun. Afterwards, we went to a creperie nearby and ate crepes there, before parting ways and going home.
During this small adventure, I had to wear high heels because right after our small outing, I had a semiformal dinner and had to rush quickly to the place. Which explains my semiformal attire. With sandals, it was quite perfect for an outing in the park; but with heels, well, let’s just say that today my feet are exhausted haha! The entire outfit might look like it took a lot of effort and made me sweat a lot, but no. It was perfect, for the fabric was thin and flowy.
Cheers,
Oh wow your pictures are so gorgeous! ❤
